Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit this website (https://rabdanbattery.ae) or use our battery, roadside, towing and garage services, why we collect it, who we share it with, how we use advertising and cookies, and the choices and rights you have. We are the controller of the personal information described here, and we handle it in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the PDPL) and other applicable law.

1. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to reach you, do the job and run our business. That is:

  • Contact details — your name and phone number, and any other contact detail you choose to give us.
  • Location — the address, area or map pin you send us so our technician or truck can find you, and the address a vehicle should be returned or delivered to. We only receive your location when you share it with us, for example by sending a pin by messaging app. We do not track your device's location in the background, and this website does not ask your browser for your location.
  • Vehicle details — make, model, year, number plate, and what the vehicle is doing or not doing. Where it is needed to order the right parts, the vehicle identification number (VIN). For towing or recovery, we may ask to see the vehicle registration (Mulkiya) to confirm you are entitled to move the vehicle.
  • Vehicle photos — photos of the vehicle's condition, dashboard, mileage and fuel level when we collect it, and photos of the fault or the finished work. These may incidentally show a number plate or the location of the vehicle.
  • Service records — estimates, what you authorised, what we did, which parts we fitted, when we attended, and your invoice. We keep these so warranty claims can be honoured.
  • Messages — the content of calls and messaging-app conversations between us.
  • Payment information — the amount, the method and whether it succeeded. Card and buy-now-pay-later details are entered with the payment provider, not with us; we never see or store full card details.
  • Website and device information — IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, the page that referred you, the advert you clicked, the pages you view and the buttons you tap. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, as described below.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal data such as health, religion, ethnicity or financial account details, beyond what is needed to take a payment.

2. How we collect it

Most of it you give us directly, when you call us, message us, send us a location pin or speak to our technician or driver. The rest is collected automatically by this website and by the Google tools it uses when you browse, or is received from payment providers acting on our behalf.

3. Why we use it

We use your personal information to:

  • reach you and send a technician, driver or tow truck to the right place
  • diagnose the fault, prepare an estimate and order the correct parts
  • collect, look after and return your vehicle, and keep a record of its condition
  • take payment and issue an invoice
  • handle warranty claims, insurance paperwork you ask us for, complaints and follow-up questions
  • keep records we are required by law to keep, including tax records
  • keep our website secure and working, and prevent fraud and misuse
  • measure how our website and advertising perform, and show our adverts to people likely to need our services
  • send you service-related messages about a job you booked

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing messages unless you have asked for them, and every marketing message we send includes a way to stop them.

4. Our legal basis

Under the PDPL we process your information because it is necessary to provide a service you asked for or to take steps you asked for before a booking; because we have a legal obligation to keep certain records; because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving our business, where those interests are not outweighed by your rights; or because you gave us your consent — for example for advertising and analytics cookies, remarketing or marketing messages. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time (see section 9).

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include pixels, tags and device identifiers. They are used in three ways on this website:

  • Essential — needed for the website to load, work and stay secure, including security and performance cookies set by our hosting provider. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics — help us understand which pages people read and where they leave, so we can improve them. We use this information in aggregate.
  • Advertising — used by Google to measure whether an advert led to a call, a message or a booking, to limit how often you see the same advert, and to show our adverts again to people who have visited this website (remarketing).

Advertising and analytics cookies used by Google may include cookies with names such as _gcl_au, _ga, IDE, and cookies set on Google domains, which can last from a session up to two years depending on the cookie. Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies in its settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of this website working.

6. Google tools we use

We advertise our services through Google Ads. To run and measure that advertising, this website loads tools provided by Google LLC and its affiliates. These may include:

  • Google Tag Manager — a tool that loads and manages the other tags below on our pages. It does not itself build a profile of you, but it lets the other tools run.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking — records when a visit that came from one of our adverts leads to an action we care about, such as tapping our phone number or messaging button, so we can see which adverts work.
  • Google Ads remarketing and audiences — lets us show our adverts to people who have previously visited this website, when they later use Google Search, YouTube or websites and apps in Google's advertising network.
  • Google Analytics — where it is loaded through Google Tag Manager, it tells us how visitors use the website in aggregate: pages viewed, time on page, device type and approximate region.

These tools collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you visit, the advert you clicked and cookie or device identifiers. Google processes that information under its own privacy policy, and you can read how Google uses information from websites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. The information these tools give us is in aggregate or tied to an identifier; it does not tell us who you are by name.

7. Remarketing and personalised advertising

Remarketing means that after you visit this website, Google may show you adverts for our services on other websites, in apps, on YouTube or in Google Search. Google decides when and where to show those adverts, based on cookies and identifiers stored on your browser or device and, if you are signed in to a Google account, on your Google account settings.

Our remarketing lists are built from visits to this website — for example people who viewed a service page. If we ever want to upload customer contact details to Google to reach existing customers, we will only do so with your consent and will update this policy first.

We do not use sensitive categories of information to personalise adverts. We do not target or build audiences based on health, religion or beliefs, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, financial hardship, or any other sensitive category, and we do not intentionally show personalised adverts to children.

8. Calls and messages from our adverts

If you reach this website from one of our adverts and then tap our phone number or messaging button, that tap may be recorded as a conversion in Google Ads. Where Google Ads call reporting is used, Google may also record that a call took place, its duration and the caller's area code, in order to count calls from adverts. We do not record the content of calls for advertising, and Google does not receive the content of your messages with us.

9. Your choices and how to opt out

You can limit or stop the use of your information for advertising and analytics at any time:

  • Google adverts — control personalised adverts from Google, or turn them off, through Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com or My Ad Center at myadcenter.google.com.
  • How Google uses data from this website — read more, and find further controls, at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Google Analytics — install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Other advertising networks — opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info (YourAdChoices) and optout.networkadvertising.org (Network Advertising Initiative).
  • Your browser — block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a private browsing window.
  • Your mobile device — reset your advertising ID or limit ad tracking in your device's privacy settings.

Where we ask for your consent to advertising or analytics cookies, you can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it, and we will stop setting those cookies from then on. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it. Opting out of personalised adverts does not stop you seeing adverts; they will simply be less relevant.

10. Who we share it with

We share your information only where it is needed to do the job, run our business or where the law requires it:

  • our technicians, drivers and dispatch staff, so someone can come to you
  • tow truck operators and workshop technicians who carry out work on your vehicle, who receive the vehicle details, location and contact details needed for that job
  • parts suppliers, who may receive the vehicle make, model and VIN needed to supply the right part
  • payment providers, including card processors, Apple Pay, Tabby and Tamara, which process payments under their own terms and privacy policies
  • our hosting and content delivery provider, Cloudflare, and our communications providers
  • Google, for advertising, conversion measurement and analytics, as described above
  • your insurer, only where you ask us to provide paperwork for a claim
  • professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where necessary
  • government authorities, the police, regulators or courts, where we are legally required to disclose

Anyone acting for us is required to protect your information and to use it only for the purpose we gave it to them for. Payment providers and Google also act under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.

11. Messaging apps and calls

If you contact us through a messaging app, that app's own privacy policy also applies to the message while it is on their service. We keep the conversation, including any location pin and photos, only for as long as we need it for the job, the warranty and our records.

12. International transfers

Some of our providers — in particular Cloudflare for hosting and content delivery, and Google for advertising and analytics — store or process data on servers outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the United States and Europe. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the PDPL allows, such as the provider's contractual data protection commitments, so that your information is protected to a standard comparable to that required under UAE law.

13. How long we keep it

We keep service, estimate and invoice records for as long as the law requires us to keep financial records, and for as long as a warranty on work or a part we supplied could still be claimed. Vehicle condition photos are kept for as long as they may be needed to deal with a question or claim about that job. Enquiries that do not turn into a booking are deleted once they are no longer useful. Advertising and analytics data is kept in line with the retention settings of the Google tools we use and Google's own policies.

14. How we protect it

We limit access to your information to the people who need it, use reputable providers, keep our systems up to date, and serve this website over an encrypted connection. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but if a breach ever affects your privacy or rights, we will notify you and the UAE Data Office as the law requires.

15. Your rights

Subject to the PDPL and any other applicable law, you have the right to:

  • be told what personal information we hold about you, why, and who we share it with, and get a copy of it
  • receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used format, and have it passed to another provider where that is technically feasible
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete information we no longer need, or that we are processing unlawfully
  • ask us to restrict processing while a question about its accuracy or lawfulness is resolved
  • object to or ask us to stop processing, including for direct marketing and for advertising purposes
  • withdraw any consent you previously gave, including for cookies, remarketing or marketing messages
  • complain to the UAE Data Office or another competent authority

To exercise any of these, call or message us on +971 54 309 2253. We may need to verify who you are before we act. We answer requests as quickly as we can and within the period the law allows, and we do not charge for a reasonable request.

16. Children

Our services and this website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not direct our advertising at children. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

17. Other websites

This website may link to websites we do not control, including those of payment providers and Google. This policy does not cover them. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit from here.

18. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, the tools we use or the law change. The current version is always published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this website.
